Can you walk me through your career path? Starting with your experiences in college, did you have any internships or jobs before your current role?
Yes, I think so. I majored in business accounting in college as an undergrad at Cal Poly.
I had two major internships during college. The first was related to my dad's career. My dad worked at State Farm Insurance, and he set me up with an internship at one of their management offices between my freshman and sophomore years.
There, I learned how to work with State Farm agents and train them on corporate policies and philosophies for selling insurance to customers. So that was just sort of an office job.
My second internship was more career-focused. I interned at an accounting firm, as I had decided to focus on accounting and try to get a job at accounting firms. So I interned at a regional accounting firm back in my hometown of San Diego.
