Favorite Parts of Being a Title Metadata Analyst at NBCUniversal

Tanya, a Title Metadata Analyst at NBCUniversal, enjoys "working with technology and getting to know more of the systems," finding it "pretty cool" to see a project's evolution, such as updating the metadata for a film from its development stage ("filming from this date to this date") to its release, even if the initial synopsis didn't reveal the full plot twist of a "vampire" in what she initially thought would be a "Liam Neeson *Taken* type of film".

What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?

I enjoy working with technology and learning more about the systems. I also enjoy seeing movies progress through different stages.

For example, I don't know if you saw the trailer for the movie *Abigail* that came out this year. It was that scary movie about a little girl in a ballerina dress who is a vampire and attacks her kidnappers. I updated the dates for that film when it was in the development stage.

I had to confirm dates for filming, noting when it started and ended. They sent me the synopsis, and I recall it mentioning a kidnapping. I'm not sure if it mentioned vampires; it just said something about kidnapping. The genre was listed as thriller.

I remember thinking it would be another *Taken*-type film. So, when it was released and I saw the trailer on TV for the first time, I thought, "Oh, so that's what that movie was." It's pretty cool to see that.
