A Day in the Life of a Title Metadata Analyst at NBCUniversal
A typical day for the Title Metadata Analyst at NBCUniversal involves checking emails, responding to requests, and working on projects—some lasting two to three months—that might involve transferring titles between systems; however, the current Olympics coverage means a much busier period, with the analyst noting "every day is different" and anticipating a surge in requests, including an unfamiliar "on call for the queue" assignment.

What does a day in the life of a metadata analyst look like?
First, I check emails and then wait for requests to come in. Sometimes we have projects we work on. Every day is different; it's not always the same.
Sometimes we get projects where we have to transfer certain titles to another system. Those projects usually last about two or three months.
When that's done, we sometimes get another project. Basically, I come in, check emails, see if there are any requests that need to be done. If I have free time, I get started on transferring titles to this file.
Every day is different. It just depends on what's going on. This week is our first week with the Olympics. I've been with the company for about two years, but this is going to be my first Olympics.
Our boss warned us that we're going to get a lot of requests and it's going to be very busy. Tomorrow, I am on call for the queue. I honestly don't know what that means, but I'm going to find out.
You just don't know what's coming. Every day is different. Some days are different, some days are the same. It's an unpredictable business.
