What is one lesson that you've learned that has proven significant in your career?

One lesson I've learned in my career that's proven significant for me is the idea that if you love something enough, hang in there, and develop your skills, you'll eventually get to a place you enjoy. You'll get the job that you want or find a discovery that leads you to something else.

I think I bounced around to a lot of jobs, and that was great because it gave me so much experience in different fields. But it wasn't until I committed myself, started developing skills, and built relationships that I gained recognition.

This allowed me to move into a position that paid enough for me to support myself. I had responsibility that I was proud of, and I had control over my work and my lifestyle.

So, it comes down to determination and really sticking with the things you're passionate about. Identify those things, and then stick with them.
