What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
I'm in the tech industry, but my background is in experiential marketing, which overlaps with PR. PR is more my skillset than the actual technology.
So I think exposure to so many interesting people, values, and different teams means there's always something new to learn. Literally, people I sit next to, I have a little bit of exposure to them, and I'm like, "This is super cool. I want to learn more about this. What do you do every day?"
Being at a big company, you're exposed to a lot of that. Also, my agency background and my current experience cover things more broadly. Certain roles cover less, but delve more deeply into specific areas.
I really like that I'm exposed to a lot of things and can explore how to dive deeper into each based on my personal interests. So, I think just exposure to different people and topics is key.
