What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
I am a first-year associate. Much of what I do involves helping more senior associates with their work. My tasks are often small and discreet, especially research projects.
I'm not yet at a position where I'm leading projects or cases. My role is smaller, but I get the chance to explore many different projects.
Much of my work is research in the environmental legal world. There are always updates on new legislation and news that legal partners want to know about. I read large pieces of legislation and summarize them so the partners can sound smart in front of clients.
