What did you do in your undergrad to set you up for success in your career?
When I was in undergrad, I participated in many activities that showcased leadership qualities, public speaking, and presentation skills. For instance, we started a fraternity at Cal Poly, and it's still active today.
That experience required a lot of building from the ground up. It demonstrated our ability to initiate a project and see it through to completion.
Additionally, I sought out opportunities in school beyond just academics. Anytime there was a competition or an activity that offered recognition beyond grades, I would get involved.
By the time I graduated, I had a strong resume reflecting leadership, success, and persistence. Employers value these qualities, as they show you can start a project and finish it.
