What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
I would say I really enjoy meeting new suppliers and learning about their capabilities. One of the main reasons I transitioned into my current organization is the opportunity for global travel within procurement.
This has always interested me, as I enjoy learning more about other cultures. I'd also like to utilize my Spanish more.
So, just traveling and meeting suppliers, and really being the face of the company I work for, translating requirements for them, and also learning about their capabilities, is my favorite part of being in procurement. I think that's why I've stayed in it this long and haven't pivoted yet.
