What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

As a senior researcher, one of my main tasks is defining the overall research strategy. This strategy informs the design and development of digital tools and products to help the public better access federal government services.

I work with product managers, designers, content writers, and data analysts. Together, we identify research needs, problems that need solving, or questions about the end user.

My work involves planning and conducting specific studies. This can include interviewing people or observing them interact with government websites. I look for issues or trouble spots they encounter.

I then collect and work with the data from these activities. I highlight important findings and create an insights report. This report might be a written document or a PowerPoint presentation.

Another significant part of my work is that it's bilingual. I do pretty much everything in both English and Spanish. Sometimes I make adjustments to better connect with a particular audience. That's my main responsibility in a nutshell.
