Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Did you have any internships or jobs before your career grew?
I studied geography in college. I liked what I studied, but I realized early on that that wasn't exactly what I wanted to do. So, in college, I decided to take a marketing internship to make that transition into business.
Since graduation, I've had around four and a half years of experience in sales and marketing in big tech and startups. I started my career at Meta in Singapore, where I worked as an account manager for four years. In that role, I advised clients on their business strategy, leveraging ad solutions across Facebook's family of apps, and basically helped clients grow their business.
I had a particular focus on chat and messaging features like Messenger and Instagram DMs. This was because in Thailand, where I was in charge of the conversational commerce business, chat businesses were a big thing. That was one exciting thing I took part in.
After my time at Meta, I moved back to Bangkok for a little bit. That was when I had a short stint as a sales and marketing director at a startup for around six months. I helped with the end-to-end development of products. It was when cannabis was just legalized in Thailand, so I adopted into cannabis CPG products for health and wellness.
Currently, I'm pursuing my first year as an MBA candidate at UCLA Anderson.
