What do you enjoy most about being a resource manager?

I really like the role that I'm in. I've been working with Mercer for almost eight years this year.

I've been the resource manager for probably four years now. I honestly enjoy being that go-to person. People always know they can come to our team, myself included, when they have questions about pretty much anything related to any part of the business.

We know what's going on; we're in the loop. We are very much aware of every new thing happening within the company and with projects. We know the right people, and if we don't know the answer, we know exactly who does.

It's nice to be that go-to person, to be able to answer people's questions and be that reliable source of information. Everybody knows they can come to myself and our team with any sort of question. If we can't help them, we know who can. Most of the time, we're able to help them answer their question, allowing them to continue their job more efficiently, which is really nice.
