What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?
During undergrad, I networked quite a bit. I did my undergraduate studies in Miami, and I went to different areas there to meet professionals from various industries.
I attended trade shows and made a real effort to introduce myself to different individuals. This led me to find one person who eventually became a mentor.
Many other people also appreciated my ambition and my thoughtful approach during our interactions. I believe these two things combined – putting myself out there and being thoughtful in those interactions – really helped me to network successfully in undergrad.
