What is your biggest challenge in your role?
Placing an amount when designing public policy, especially in terms of cash transfers, is a really difficult challenge. Setting an amount to provide to families is particularly hard, especially when we're talking about emergencies.
This is one of the projects I work on: providing money to people after an emergency, like a hurricane or something similar. One of the most difficult scenarios is when people die. How do you identify the correct amount to provide a family that has just lost a member? That's one of the biggest challenges in general.
