As someone who identifies as female, how has that impacted how you navigate your career?

There are different personality types, especially in some industries. I think I've touched on this previously.

There are people who have been around in their industry for a very long time and think they know better. In the auto industry, in particular, we work with a larger demographic of older males. That's just how the auto industry currently is, especially in certain positions.

So, it's a lot of managing those personalities. This is especially true when we're at an event or in a meeting. I'm a young female in the room, and I understand that. I've learned how to connect with these different personality types.

I think that's really beneficial; you learn to enforce your presence, making sure you're heard and understood. This is the way I want things to be, and then they allow me to run things.

It's important to make sure many females feel empowered when they walk into a room full of men. Sometimes that can be difficult, and I think it's important to learn how to navigate those situations. This comes with time and understanding the different personalities in a room.
