What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
I'm responsible for raising money. It kind of depends on how you slice it, but about five hundred thousand dollars from individuals every year.
Then, depending on the types of grants available, we can bring in up to two million dollars in grants. This includes making sure the applications are submitted and reports are filed.
It also involves shepherding grants through the process and maintaining relationships with our individual donors. There are some events involved.
Finally, I make sure our website and social media are up to date and that we're continually elevating the stories of our students and families within Oakland.
