What is your biggest challenge in your current role?

Long-range financial planning is a very broad topic. People in this role need to balance a 30,000-foot view with attention to detail.

Sometimes, the question requires a quick, "back of the envelope" calculation. Other times, we go through a financial model and double-check every single cell.

It's important to understand when to wear different hats: today, the collaboration and communication hat; after this meeting, perhaps the detail-orientation hat. Sometimes, both are needed, depending on who is asking.

The need to stay flexible and get everyone on the same page is crucial. Someone might focus on how the math adds up, while another person may ask if it's even possible. Tapping into the different priorities and perspectives of others can be challenging.
