What is one lesson you have learned that has proven to be successful in your career?

I would say that owning your Excel and SQL skills will help you more than anything. There are a million different new technologies out there, whether it's AI or something older like Python, for working in this industry or specifically in the analytics field.

Not necessarily the industry of sports, but using those two tools, Excel and SQL, which have been around forever, are still really great. I can't really see them going away anytime soon.

Learning those two tools would be the most driven path I could recommend for trying to be in this type of role.
