What is your biggest challenge in your current role?
The biggest challenge in my current role, and I think anytime you're working in tech, is the rate of change. It's not like manufacturing basketballs; this isn't a space that's likely to be the same in ten years, maybe not even five or two.
Keeping up with that rate of change can be daunting and overwhelming. I like to know what's coming, and it's always an uphill battle to not feel like you're being overtaken by what you're trying to keep up with.
Other people seem to learn as they grow, as if it's innate. So, feeling like you're not falling behind, staying relevant, and being at the forefront of knowledge in your space is very difficult.
But I try not to give into those feelings of overwhelm. I try to look at it as an area of opportunity. Yes, it's a lot, but it's exciting and fun, depending on the lens you look at it through.
