What does a day in the life of an energy engineer look like?
A day in the life of an energy engineer can look like a lot of things for me. That's really good because I love interdisciplinary work.
Some days I work from home, doing a lot of computer work. Sometimes I go to a coffee shop to focus on quantitative projects.
I also do a lot of hands-on work. I go to buildings to walk the site and test systems.
Once or twice a week, I go to the office to collaborate with colleagues and get their advice on reports. We often work on projects together, which involves meeting in a conference room to review models or reports. We also conduct meetings and meet with potential clients. It's a nice mix of activities.
