What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?

In my undergraduate experience, and throughout my life, I've always been a jack of all trades. I really used my undergraduate experience as a jack of all trades to explore as many things as possible in sustainability.

What I always like to say is that I used it as an opportunity to explore all the different sustainable development goals. The United Nations has published their 17 sustainable development goals, which pinpoint 17 unique challenges in sustainability and the development of communities.

I like to think that the various courses, internships, and research opportunities that I took on allowed me to dabble in all of those, kind of like a Boy Scout getting different badges. Now I've set myself up for this career as a sort of ambassador of sustainable development where I can draw on these different experiences and bring a well-rounded voice to the table.

That has also prepared me to take on a variety of different roles in the future. I plan to try different things and keep trying new things. My interdisciplinary background in sustainability and research has really set me up for success in anything I put my mind to.
