What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
I enjoyed being able to bridge the divide between people who aren't thinking about policy every day. I helped them feel empowered to engage more with the issues that affect our lives, whether they come from LA City Hall, Sacramento, or D.C.
One of my favorite moments was creating a petition campaign for folks in the Inland Empire. We advocated for affordable housing in their community and educated people about why it's an existential threat if not addressed.
It was a highlight to get hundreds of people to sign up for something they believed in. This was purely based on the awareness we raised about these issues. I think that's one of the joys I had in my senior content producer role.
