What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider pursuing?
If you're looking to pursue a career in the entertainment or sports industry, internships are key. Developing your network very early on is also very important.
So definitely look into internships. I'd also say to go into various departments. When I interned, I interned in production because I initially thought that's what I wanted to do.
I quickly found out that I didn't want to do production, but it allows you to test the waters and see what you're really interested in. So internships are good.
Once you graduate, coordinator positions are the most entry-level. So look into applying for those.
