Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Then, tell me about any internships or jobs you had before your current role.
Sure, I went to USC for my undergrad. I knew I wanted to work in the entertainment industry, but I didn't know in what capacity or function. So, I started with a few internships.
I interned at Colin Robbins Productions, which was affiliated with Warner Brothers at the time, on the production side. I worked on shows like "What I Like About You" and "Smallville."
Then I went over to work at ADC as an intern. I also completed an internship at Telemundo with Mundos, which was a network geared towards millennials at the time and no longer exists. That's what I did from an internship perspective.
I kicked off my marketing career at Fox Deportes in 2006 as a marketing coordinator. I spent almost six or seven years there, eventually moving to Marketing Manager.
After leaving Fox Deportes, I went over to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, commonly known as UFC, in Las Vegas. As their affiliate marketing manager, I wore various hats because it was still a very small organization. I helped launch the UFC Network in Latin America and worked on UFC Fight Pass, our international streaming service.
I then left UFC and moved to Miami, where I had the role of Director of Marketing at University Sports. I was there for about two years.
Following that, I had an opportunity to transition from sports to entertainment with Warner Brothers. I moved back home and took the Director of Marketing for Latin America role, overseeing B2B and B2C aspects of the television business. I was there for about three years.
There were some acquisitions and mergers, and I was laid off during COVID-19. After that, I was hired at Tubi as Director of Content and Part of Marketing. I am now the Director of Consumer Brand Marketing there, and I've been at Tubi for almost two years.
