What skills are most important for a job like yours?
Definitely project management skills, such as organization, are important. Being able to communicate clearly and concisely is also really important.
A lot of the time, when you're emailing or calling people, it's best to be direct and to the point about what you're asking for or checking in on. Nobody really wants to read a three-paragraph email just to ask about a project status.
Customer service is another really important skill. It's about having a polite and respectful relationship with people doing less glamorous jobs, like lugging lights or carrying cameras. Maintaining that respect with anyone outside your company is key.
Not to mention all the things you have to do as a team player for your colleagues. These are all invaluable skills for anyone pursuing a career in entertainment.
Outside of creative skills and staying up-to-date with the industry, you have to be very on top of things.
