What's one lesson you've learned that has proven significant in your career?
I'm going to give a somewhat non-traditional answer here. It took me a long time to get to this, and it's something I found was transformational for me.
This practice was affirmations. It involves defining an ideal state of yourself five to ten years from now.
Then, you write a bunch of sentences that start with the words "I am." For example, you could say, "I am sitting on the beach every Friday."
You say this out loud every morning. It focuses you throughout your day on what's really important to you and has made a tremendous difference in my life in achieving my goals.
