What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
For my current role, I'd say it's the strategy part. For the first four years of my business, I was really focused on building up my skill as far as the service itself, permanent makeup, and making sure I really honed in on that.
But now it's fun because I get to step back a little from the business and really ask, "How do we scale?" and "Do I ever want to open up another location?" The conversations I'm having, even with my team here and with my husband, are now on a bigger scale, which I find more enjoyable.
I still love what I do and love offering permanent makeup to my clients. But I like being able to step out from the day-to-day and see the business on a larger scale, to dream bigger.
It's also exciting to see my team do well. We're a group of nine women, and it’s motivating for me to see them successful and making great money. It's very satisfying to know that I've created jobs for people.
