What entry-level positions in this field might an undergraduate college student consider?
I would say the entry-level positions in specifically the insurance business would be doing a little bit. I started off doing a lot of backend work, learning our systems. Any management of accounts that the brokers couldn't do, or couldn't do right away, or it wasn't a top priority, they would send over to me.
So for a little bit, you would be basically an underwriting assistant or a technical assistant. I guess a TA that is kind of just whatever the broker needs done, you would do that for a while.
Then, as long as you want to keep learning and continue learning, you can kind of jet your way up the line from there.
