Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? What internships or jobs did you have before your current role?

I came down to Southern California for Concordia University in Irvine, California. My first year of college, I went undecided. I was a student athlete and played basketball on a scholarship.

This was one of the things I came down for. I didn't really know exactly what I wanted to do career-wise, but I ended up deciding to join the business school my sophomore year. I pursued a degree in business administration with an emphasis in sports management because sports has been my whole life. I wanted to bring that into my end goal.

Now, being in the insurance field, there's not a whole lot of sports involved. However, it definitely helped out the business administration side. My experience in college basketball was basically my life; I lived, breathed, and loved it.

I graduated in 2019 with my undergrad and then hopped into a master's program in 2020 to finish off my fifth year, because I red-shirted my freshman year. After that, I got into my current situation with a company called Athletes to Careers. They send an agent to recruit and bring notice to certain companies that like to bring former athletes into the business field. That's what got me here today.
