What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you entered the industry?

That's a good question. I think being a CEO of a company is really a personal self-actualization journey. You learn so much about yourself along the way.

You learn how to work with people and what you care about, and what you don't care about. You learn your strengths and your weaknesses. I've become hyper-aware of my weaknesses and done my best to surround myself with people who round me out because there's a lot of work to do and I can't do it all.

I need to admit that to myself. I need to put my ego aside and figure out how I can accomplish the things I want to get done. There's an immense amount of self-awareness that comes with being a CEO.

I can't do it alone, and I've learned that the more help I ask for, the more success I experience. So, advice to all of you: Never be scared to ask for help. That is one of my biggest pieces of advice.
