What does a day in the life of a specialist of member and donor relations and strategic partnerships look like?
My role is with the Pro Football Retired Players Association. My day-to-day tasks involve handling various member requests from retired players. I also focus on donor relations and corporate partnerships.
I continuously research organizations that align with our mission and values. The goal is to identify opportunities for mutually beneficial relationships. This research involves identifying the right people to reach out to and build connections with.
For Pro Beach Volleyball and partnerships, my tasks include managing our merchandise partnership with Cotton Links. I work on different projects there, determining which products to offer for upcoming tournaments.
Within partnerships, I also identify which sponsors to engage for events, like an upcoming one in Atlanta. We then work on creating brand activations for them. The Pro Beach Volleyball role has many different aspects. As an intern, I handle a variety of responsibilities and assist many people.
