Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Did you have any internships or jobs before your current role?
Prior to my current role, I began working summers at car dealerships in sales. This gave me a basic introduction to how the business worked.
I became intrigued by the used car process. Our used car director was going to a large auction in San Francisco, and I requested time off to see if it might interest me as well. I wanted to understand exactly what he was doing there.
I knew I was selling cars, but I didn't know where they were coming from or how that process worked. I got my time off approved, and we flew to San Francisco. We went to Manheim Auto Auction, one of the largest in the car industry.
From then on, I knew this was something interesting. This was something I wanted to focus my attention on and grow my career in.
