What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?
The most significant part of my undergraduate experience that set me up for success was working incredibly hard. I had an on-campus job to cover my bills and an unpaid internship, all while taking courses. I was also active on campus.
This taught me effective time management and how to keep myself motivated. It allowed me to switch between different tasks and focuses throughout the day and still get things done. This skill has definitely paid dividends in my career.
I think this balance between getting work done and still enjoying my extracurriculars helped me maintain a work-life balance. This was true even when I was working long hours. Some people get consumed by their jobs, but I believe this helped me stay balanced.
