How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?

I think people who are very analytical tend to thrive. This means understanding the analysis and the different strategies you can use to produce good returns for investors.

But I also think being personable is important. It's a really relationship-driven business, so being able to build relationships with other parties involved in real estate is crucial. I believe this really translates to long-term success.

Being adaptable is also key. Through the course of 10, 20, or 30 years, there are many different market cycles you have to adapt to. Whether the market is taking off and doing well, or if things aren't looking so good, pivoting your strategy is what makes people succeed.

I think those are the main things that make people successful in this industry. Having grit and a strong work ethic will also take you a long way.
