What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you started?

I'll gear this answer towards sales in general. The idea is that if you want to be in sales, you can sell anything.

It doesn't have to be advertising technology. You can sell rockets, private jets, toilet paper, or pet products.

If you're hungry and persistent, and you approach it the right way with empathy, you can sell anything and be very successful. You'll understand your client's problems.
