Amy, taking you back to your time at UCI. What did you do in undergrad that set you up for success in your career?

Besides finding lifelong friends who set me up with a great support group, I think applying to internships early in my junior year was good practice. It helped me get into the business casual work environment.

Going to business fairs, talking with professionals, and getting my resume cleaned up with a headshot really set me up for the business realm. I definitely got my butt kicked the first time I had an internship.

I learned the basics of email etiquette, how to handle certain meetings, and booking travel. I think those were the toolkits for working on a Big Four. It helped me establish habits and guardrails, and all the things you need for success in any future job.
