Transcript

Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Did you have any internships or jobs before your current role?

In college, I really started my professional development. I had an internship at Barclays Investment Bank in New York City when I was a sophomore. I translated that into a junior year internship, which eventually led to a full-time offer, and then I jumped head first into banking.

While I was at school, I was a peer programmer at SUI, which is similar to a resident advisor. I lived with the students and helped them out. On the other side, I helped manage the students and peer programmers within WP Carey. I reported to the person in charge of them, so I assisted in that area.

I had a few different experiences, all largely related to business school or business in general. But all of that led up to my main career, which was investment banking. I did that for three years. Eventually, I left investment banking to start my own consulting firm, then a fractional advisor firm, and then a co-founding entity, which is my current business, Unconventional Ventures.
