What A Sourcing Manager At A Food Tech Company Wishes They Had Known Before Entering The Food Tech Industry

What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would have told you before entering this industry?
I wish someone had told me, or I had paid more attention to, the growth rate of food companies. In the food tech space, people often think that in the tech world, everyone is after that exponential growth seen with software companies.
But the food world typically experiences single-digit growth, maybe double-digit in a best-year scenario. Any industry changes are slow, and growth is usually slower. You have to be a bit more patient.
I definitely wish someone had told me that before, but it's part of the learning experience.
