What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

The food industry is cool. I'm from the West Coast, so I don't have many peers in the food industry.

A lot of food comes from California, but the big ag-based businesses are in the Midwest. I think one of the things I enjoy most about the industry is working with folks from different parts of the country.

The people in the industry really care. It's a relatively small world, and it feels like everyone knows each other. People genuinely care about making good, safe food for people to consume.

It's always fun to work in an industry that affects people's lives every day and is, at the end of the day, a necessity. Everyone needs to eat. I think that's probably what I like most about the industry.
