What is your biggest challenge in your current role as a sourcing manager?
My biggest challenge is that, as financial stewards of the business, we make decisions that can greatly affect the company. I want to ensure that I'm not mismanaging company funds and that we're making the business profitable.
We do this by focusing on raw material costs and freeing up money for other investments. That's the biggest challenge, and sometimes it's hard to remember to prioritize what's most important.
The business always has a hundred things happening at once. Realistically, only three or four of them actually matter. Constantly grounding yourself in what matters is sometimes the biggest challenge.
