Q9: Wish I'd known this before entering the industry.
Signing up for a startup, you kind of know what to expect. The one thing I would say is that there's really nothing that surprises me. I had a pretty good understanding of what I was going to do.
But I love it. I love my job. It doesn't feel like I go to work because I'm just having fun all the time. And it's a great group of people.
The people I work with are what make it special because I work remotely. The one thing I wish people had told me is that it's hard to develop relationships with coworkers when you work remote.
That wasn't really an issue for me, though. The people I work with are friendly on Zoom calls. It is isolating to work remotely, especially at a smaller company where you don't have regular interactions, unless you want them.
