Q4: Most important skills for this role?
For a job like yours, interpersonal skills are important. Relationship building is key. In my opinion, hard skills are slowly becoming obsolete as AI advances.
Your job won't be replaced by AI, but it could be replaced by someone who knows how to use AI. The important skills moving forward are communication, planning, and creativity – essentially, how to be human.
Even when implementing AI into a college setting, my expertise in AI wouldn't matter if I couldn't communicate effectively. If I can't get on the same page as someone or understand their problems, I can't help them.
Therefore, collaborative working and knowing how to ask questions are the most crucial skills.
