What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
It's a good question. This is a tough industry to be in sometimes because, in general tech, the expectations are crazy, with everyone expecting triple-digit growth every year. It's hard to deliver on.
But I also enjoy that. I enjoy the pressure that it builds. There's this kind of camaraderie in the tech industry between people, especially in the Bay Area. I'm sure it's present in other places with big tech hubs, but it's always fun talking to other people in the industry.
We commiserate around the challenges but also celebrate the wins. It's interesting because it's not a zero-sum industry where somebody wins and somebody loses. There will be losers, of course, and some companies won't make it.
But it feels like everyone's working towards a common goal of growing the pie, and everyone benefits from each other's progress on their products and business models. So I really enjoy that aspect.
As with a couple of other questions we've already gone over, I enjoy the fact that it's constantly evolving. There's so much to learn, so much to know. It's fun being on the cutting edge of technology that you read about in the news.
