Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Did you have any internships or jobs before your current role?
I'm originally from Brazil, from a small town, not one of the big cities. Early in my life, I decided I had ambition.
So, I moved to Sao Paulo, the biggest city in Brazil, and went to college there. I was good at math in high school, so I decided to study engineering, specifically electronic engineering.
While I was in school, I realized engineering wasn't what I wanted. I started applying for multiple summer internships in different industries.
That's how I interned for a startup called ClickBus, which sold interstate bus tickets much like airplane tickets. I was hooked by the startup business and field.
Eventually, I started gravitating towards positions at big tech companies. I did an internship at Google, starting on a team called Online Partnerships Group. They provide monetization services for publishers on the web.
As I understood that partner management was a position I was interested in, I wanted to move to YouTube. YouTube has always been my favorite Google product and has a significant impact on society.
I oriented my career towards the things I liked and saw the most impact. That's why I ended up at YouTube, and that's where I am now. I work as a partner manager, helping businesses thrive on the platform.
