What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
In Scotia Bank, I worked as a strategy associate. I had two main roles.
One was to help the bank develop a new strategy for them, both short-term and long-term. This included a one-to-two-year plan and a five-to-ten-year plan. These plans would outline the company's main goals, investments, and ways to achieve them through different mechanisms within the bank.
The other role was as a specialist in cost reduction initiatives. I would conduct internal consulting projects for the bank to identify areas where we could cut costs and become more operationally efficient and profitable.
Within these roles, most of my time was spent on research and working with various stakeholders and departments across the bank. That was the nature of these two roles.
