What is your biggest challenge in your current role as a senior investment manager?

The biggest challenge is living with the uncertainty factor. You're never going to have perfect information when making an investment decision.

So, your objective when assessing a business is to look at all the available data. At some point, you need to decide if you've learned enough about the business.

You're trying to analyze what's been given to you, think critically, and determine if you have enough information to make a decision. This decision is based on the market price of the company's instrument, whether you want to long or short it, buy or sell it.

You'll make this decision without perfect information. You need to know you could be wrong, but you've made an educated bet based on the best available information.

This isn't always comfortable for people, including myself. I find it a challenge day in and day out. Trying to grow and become comfortable with that every day is something I consider a challenge.
