Q8: Who thrives in industry?
How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?
For publishing, I think it's people who are really savvy in terms of production. I don't mean just savvy producers in terms of the production value of the actual book.
Rather, I mean producing projects. That's the fund development part of that: finding the dollars, finding the interest, finding the opportunities. I think those are the ones who thrive.
Those who think outside of the box, in particular, I think are those who thrive. That is, of course, if you're not among the status quo who also can thrive in this space.
But I think that's probably the group that I would identify. And of course, across the board, to thrive means you are resilient. So the most resilient in the bunch will always thrive and will always rise to the top.
