What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you entered the industry?
It's interesting. This is maybe a kind of an answer, not off track. What I would say is that the seasonality of it, in a way, I kind of wish I'd known a little bit more about.
I think every job has that cyclical nature to it. There are certain times of the year when things come up, like, "Oh, it's this season," or whatever. I think that is important to know about.
In the field I'm in, there's awards season. That's when major guilds and organizations like the Academy give out awards to the best movies or TV shows. That makes up a decent chunk of the year.
There are just things that will kind of recur and then come back. I wish I'd been a little bit more prepared for that because I enjoy a bit more diversification and variance to what I do.
The repetitive nature of what happens every year can wear on me personally, just a little bit. I wouldn't say that's a major challenge, but it's something that anyone getting into this field should be prepared for.
