What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

That is a bit of a tough question because journalism, and entertainment journalism in particular, has been very challenged over the past decade and more. But what I enjoy about it is being immersed in something that truly interests me personally.

I love learning about the history of the entertainment business, which is important to inform what I write about. You can't really understand streaming and its impact without understanding what the business looked like in the past.

It's almost a cliché now to say everything is going back to the way it used to be with cable. However, certain aspects of the old cable business and how it grew inform my perspective on streaming.

So, I most enjoy being able to draw on knowledge I already have and gain new knowledge in a field I find compelling and fascinating to study. I also don't take that for granted.
