Q7: Favorite parts - industry
What do you enjoy most about being in your industry? My experience comes from a smaller e-commerce organization. People coming from Microsoft, Google, or Netflix might have a different starting experience.
Personally, within the e-commerce industry, one of the cooler parts is you get to hear a lot of really nice stories. It's awesome to work directly with customers. Customers are not just a number, and that's pretty fun.
Another cool thing is that most of the time, people want a really good deal. The easiest way you can provide that to them is really helpful. The data alongside that interests a lot of people I know, perhaps a viewer.
Those are probably the high points of working in e-commerce: being able to work directly with people, provide good services without a lot of overhead, and connect customers and markets.
