Career Path of an Account Executive at ZoomInfo
Trent's career path began as a student athlete at the University of Idaho, where a business marketing degree and four years playing football provided "a lot of preparation" for a sales career. The rigorous schedule of a student athlete, where "my head would hit the pillow one night and I know exactly what I'm doing the next day," proved highly beneficial in transitioning to the demands of a sales role, a skill set which Trent believes is largely due to their experiences as a collegiate athlete.

Could you walk me through your career path? Please start with your experiences in college and any internships or jobs you had before your current role.
Absolutely. I started out as a student athlete at the University of Idaho. I was there for four and a half years and played football from 2013 to 2016.
That took up a lot of my time. I earned a degree in business marketing. I didn't have time for internships, so I didn't do any.
Through football and being a student athlete, I learned skills that prepare you well for life after sports. There's a lot of preparation involved. I knew exactly what I was doing each day.
This really helped me in my sales career. I wouldn't trade my experience at the University of Idaho and playing football for anything else. It was an amazing experience that set me up for success today.
